5 Days till Sunday!

AFC Playoffs Start Early
This sunday there will be 2 games to determine playoff berths in the AFC. At 5:oo the Dolphins will be in New York. If the Dolphins win they get the AFC East title, as they have the tiebreaker with the Pats who may also be 11-5 if they beat Buffalo. If the Jets win, they'll need the Bills to beat the Patriots, creating a 3 way tie at 10-6 with the Jets holding the tiebreaker over both teams.
The Patriots need to beat Buffalo, and hope the Jets beat the Dolphins, giving them an 11-5 record with the Fins and Jets at 10-6. If the Pats lose they are finished.
The Patriots/Bills game is at 2:00, so by the time the Jets and Fins kickoff, they'll know where they stand.

Denver and San Diego will play at 9:00 for the AFC West. There are three very intriguing aspects to this game.
1) Denver beat the Chargers in week 2 on the infamous Ed Hochuli call that gave Denver another chance to put the ball in the end zone. Chargers are probably still bitter.
2) The Chargers were 4-8 and left for dead. But thanks to a cream puff game vs Oakland, a historic comeback vs KC, and a beat down on the Bucs in Tampa, they are now 1 home game from the playoffs. Denver could have avoided all this by beating Buffalo at home last week.
3) The Broncos are not a very good team and would not have made an impact in the playoffs. San Diego has alot of talent, and may be a team that underachieved, got lucky, and now they are playing the best football of the year at the right time. They have the same team that gave the Patriots all they could handle with a hobbled Rivers and no LT in last year's AFC championship. Plus it set's up a very exciting first round game, the Indianapolis Colts(#5 seed) at the Chargers (#4 seed). Oh yeah.
